Providence is calling a Service Area Director, Imaging (Full time/Day shift) in Burbank, CA.
We are seeking a Service Area Director, Imaging who will provide strategic leadership and operational management and direction to the imaging services in one of the Southern California service areas. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a matrix business model that supports the Regional and System strategic goals for an integrated healthcare delivery system. The Service Area Director, Imaging is responsible and accountable for planning, developing, implementing, coordinating and managing Service Area Imaging services that provide for quality imaging care to Providence St. Joseph Health patients, clients and staff throughout the Service Area under the highest professional standards.
Responsible for the development and support of comprehensive Imaging services across the continuum of care including: clinical and operational imaging programs, patient safety programs, regulatory and compliance, and educational training programs. Ensures that Imaging services is aligned with Regional Services and business units to maximize services and efficiency within the region and service area.
Additional operating imaging business units may also include Ministry specific operations.
The Service Area Director, Imaging ensures the delivery of safe and effective imaging service delivery to ensure the connected experience of care and clinical excellence for the patients we serve is consistent with the Mission of the Sisters of Providence St Joseph Health, and has matrix and/or coordinating relationships with the following:
- Leaders of Hospital Imaging Services
-Regional Imaging Executive leadership
-System Imaging Leadership
In this position you will:
Ensure that the mission and core values are forefront of all activities
Plan, implement, develop, manage and evaluate Imaging services on a service area level. In this effort, the incumbent works with the imaging management teams, the medical staffs, the nursing departments, quality assurance departments, administration, and other departments to identify and develop patient-oriented imaging services and programs which may improve quality of care, efficiency, or promote cost savings
Oversee, and collaborate with medical staffs, imaging staffs, quality assurance, nursing staffs and other departments to evaluate the quality of imaging services. Help ensure compliance with Clinical Quality Indications including CMS Measures, and The Joint Commission Standards
Participate in and support the process for policy development throughout the Region. Manage guides and collaborates with medical staffs, pharmacy staffs, nursing staffs and other ministry departments to maintain a high quality and cost-effective imaging services. Participate in imaging standardization throughout the Region
Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations for services
Advocate for the Service Area Imaging teams to represent and promote imaging services across the Region through active leadership
Participate on various PSJH Imaging Councils as the requested by the Regional Imaging Services Leader
Effectively lead a management structure and relations with all Imaging leaders across the Service Area
Participate with other Imaging Leaders throughout the Region on PSJH Committees and Initiatives so as to align all Imaging sites with PSJH strategic plan and initiatives and effectively facilitates change management and implements imaging best practice in alignment with PSJH
Work with ministry management teams to establish yearly goals and objectives. Assists in budget development
Required qualifications for this position include:
5 year Managerial experience in Radiology or Imaging Services
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
ARRT upon hire
CRT upon hire
3 years strong administrative and managerial experience in an ancillary setting of a large hospital
7 years Supervisor, manager or director in Radiology or imaging services in a hospital or similar setting
