Providence is calling a per diem, day shift Registered Nurse First Assistant to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.
In this position you will:
Provide surgical first assistant, scrub, and/or circulating nurse services in the operating room during surgical procedures, and assist surgical team as needed in any other capacity according to established procedures
Participate in the daily activities of the department as an active member
Demonstrate proficiency in delivering care to assigned age specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics), and participate in continuing education
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN); or must obtain BSN within 3 years of hiring; or have at least 20 years of RN experience
Completion of a CCI (Competency and Credentialing Institute) recognized/approved formal RNFA Program
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
Current National Certification (CNOR)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers from the American Heart Association
Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Recent clinical experience in the operating room
