Providence Regional Director, Annual Giving in Burbank, California
Reporting to the Associate Chief Philanthropy Officer, Southern California, the Regional Director of Annual Giving serves in a lead fundraising and administrative role with a primary focus on generating significant financial support through annual giving and the development of a donor pipeline for Providence Foundations in Southern California. Responsibilities include leadership and direction of all aspects of annual giving fundraising for the ministries, supervision of all foundation annual giving staff, and employee giving.
The Regional Director, Annual Giving will:
Plan and implement an effective annual giving fundraising and donor engagement strategy that integrates the unique mission of Providence, our regional and individual ministry priorities, and the needs of donors and potential donors.
In collaboration with the Associate Chief Philanthropy Officer, develop an annual Business Plan with measurable program goals, priorities, strategic plans and objectives for annual giving programs and activities.
Work closely with Foundation leadership to develop and maintain a donor acquisition and development strategy that inspires increased giving, year over year.
Develop and manage all elements of a strategic and robust direct mail program throughout Southern California.
Set regional strategy for and guides the execution of year-round employee engagement, giving and stewardship efforts.
Create and implement a strategic program to build leadership annual giving encompassing gifts of $1000-$24,999.
Work closely with all fundraising staff to support major/planned giving pipeline development and donor engagement.
Remote work from within the Los Angeles area may be allowed.
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (i.e., business, marketing, communications). Master’s Degree or Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification preferred.
7-10 years of progressively responsible administrative experience managing and directing annual giving, preferably in a larger institution.
Proven track record in soliciting leadership annual gifts.
Stellar personnel, volunteer and project management skills.
Proven presentation experience combined with solid written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
Demonstrated experience working within time-intensive, results-oriented environment.
Able to gracefully address dynamic priorities with sound judgment.
Possesses exceptional problem solving and leadership skills.
Attends and participates in fundraising and cultivation events as required.
Maintains a valid driver’s license and willing to travel between Providence foundations throughout Southern California.
Excellent communication and relational skills.
