Providence St Joseph Health is calling a Population Health Business Partner, Analytics in Population Health Care Management for Providence Strategic and Management Services. This position can sit in any our our 7 state locations or remote.
The Population Health Analyst Partner will collaborate with regional partners under the direction of Enterprise Care Management leaders to deliver analytic and reporting solutions to support population health initiatives, practice transformation, and strategy. This position is responsible for data analytic strategies focused on improving population health, utilization, and costs for specific populations. This position will collaborate and share knowledge across the system.
This position requires a solid mastery of evidence, data, health care delivery, and workflow.
This role will primarily use Community Pathways to Health (CPH) to gain insights into patient and population behavior, preferences, and utilization patterns. This position is required to have a working knowledge of Tableau or other User / Reporting Interfaces with the expectation they will achieve a high level of proficiency in building dashboards and reports.
In this position you will:
Regional Collaboration and Co-Design: Engage key clinical and business leads in conceiving, designing and building scalable analytics and reporting solutions to support local population health initiatives.
Analytic Consultation: Work with Regional team to identify and evaluate trends in health care, local conditions, economic conditions and competitive institutions.
Clinical Insight: Understand how data can be used to provide insights for: 1) Population identification, stratification & segmentation, 2) Health, risk & needs assessment, 3) Transition and continuity of care gaps, 4) Care coordination among providers and community partners, 5) Whole person care (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual, and social), 6) Access, 7) Outcome reporting, and 8) Evaluation of metrics
Requirements Gathering: Full cycle analytics understanding business requirements, extracting data, analyzing data, predicting, measuring outcome and making recommendations required. Collaborating with ECMC Subject Matter Experts on solution design.
Display / Visualization: Performs dashboard and reporting visualization design; utilizes good sensibility in visual storytelling. Creates ad hoc reports to support regional needs.
CPH User Interface: Works within Tableau and other software products to support data analytics initiatives for the Population Health ECMC team
Required qualifications for this position include:
An equivalent of a minimum of six (6) years of relevant analytics experience using and creating metrics, analysis, and reports
An equivalent of a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in a healthcare / clinical setting
An equivalent of a minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
An equivalent of a minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience with Tableau or comparable BI tools
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
MA/MS degree in Nursing, Social Work, other clinical discipline, or clinical analytics.
Two (2) years of experience RN, Social Work, Pharmacist, Educator
