Providence Health & Services Nursing Staff Coordinator in Burbank, California
Providence is calling a Nursing Staff Coordinator (Full time/Variable shift) to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank, CA.

We are seeking a Nursing Staff Coordinator who will perform activities related to staffing and scheduling as well as receptionist and clerical duties for the Nursing Staffing Office.
In this position you will:
Perform a variety of general office duties in the Nursing Office
Assist with timekeeping functions by maintaining sick time, late call, other attendance records and statistics
Perform a variety of duties relating to the staffing and scheduling process, use the ANSOS computerized staffing and scheduling program
Assign staff according to patient acuity on a daily basis to ensure adequate staffing on all units and shifts. Identify potential staffing problems and resolves as appropriate
Refer to established unit staffing patterns and patient acuity data to determine minimum staffing requirements for each nursing classification and work status for each unit based on 24-hour coverage
Consult with manager or supervisor when determining unit staffing needs Assign personnel to units as required and make adjustments for special requests and/or unusual circumstances
Maintain accurate records of all patients requiring private duty nursing care. Arrange for private duty staff from an outside agency as authorized by family and physician
Perform duties associated with the computerized patient classification program
Maintain record of all patient deaths and arranges for final disposition of remains. Maintain death and donation statistics
Enter dialysis charges into clinical information system nightly
Attend meetings as required
Maintain established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, improving organization performance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops
Maintain confidentiality of patient and employee information
Required qualifications for this position include:
- At least one year hospital or secretarial experience
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- At least 2 years in college
